Lock up your pets, a message from a friend

Posted on Apr 24th, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
Please forgive me that my first post, much less first message is of this nature, but it is something that concerns all of us in this trade. I received th9is message from Craigs list, assuming it to be some hoax or hype, I google’d it [HR669]. Still assuming it to be fake, I visited [See the Actual Bill] this will effect you… below is the original message. No offence but this sounds like the work of Peta

Thanks for Reading , J

HR669 is a piece of legislation being proposed that would ban the possession, sale, or breeding of any nonnative wildlife in the United States . This would affect anyone who keeps pets such as fish (Koi, Gurramies, Cichlids, Bettas, ect.), invertebrates (crustaceans, mollusks, insects, arachnids), reptiles, birds, and mammals (Dogs, Cats, flying squirrels, chinchillas, etc.). It is being reviewed on April 23rd and pet owners are looking to create a large snail mail and phone campaign. Emails aren’t nearly as effective because of spam filters. Please help us by writing your letters today!!! Simply follow the instructions on the video.

Wanted: books and authors.

Posted on Feb 24th, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
I'm building a community that makes for a good way to market your books.  I have a website from which I now sell my artwork, plus topics related to: spiritual, health, nature, & new age, etc....Author submissions being accepted.
This is no risk for authors as I am not charging a fee to list you on my site, just a percentage if your book sells. The more authors and books, the more the more of you network and promote, the moreeasily search engines will find you, and the more books will sell......................

The book storefront is at www.jilljj.com/ZenCart
in it would be your ebooks: descriptions, titles, pics, prices, etc……
As for legitimacy, it is, and both parties would need to sign:
the agreement which can be gotten at http://www.jilljj.com/ZenCart/author-agreement.pdf

my main site for your perusal is at www.jilljj.com

Now, I worked for a while as a cost estimator at a college text book company and I know what a tiny pittance goes for author fees. Instead of 6 to 10%, what I propose here is that you get to keep is 70%. I personally have had a hard time finding a central location for books of this subject matter, which means we could have a niche! The benefit for me would also be increased traffic to my site and hopefully you authors let me read your works while we are at it. Of course this is something to which we both need to agree, so please take a look at the pdf listed above.
Please email me at jilljjam@yahoo.com if you’d like to jump in or have ideas.
Thanks
Jill

health hazard high hells I mean heels

Posted on Feb 21st, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
Nothing, and I do mean nothing, short of steel toe boots with extra good cleats could keep one from slipping on the ice we have had her in Central MN as of late.
This last Summer at the farmer's market I saw a young woman of 20 something I assume was named Daisy Mae, who desperately tried to walk on solidly tarred & even ground whilst holding a baby. I have to wonder if she and/or the baby made it through the day without injury. One more recollection I have comes from my mid-30's. Picture this: shopping with a woman of about 55 who is in a wheelchair because she used to wear high heels to work every day when she was Daisy Mae's age. I say go with the new utilitarian fashion of dress for the weather and avoid high heels or any other vanity based bodily torture; much more comfortable and freeing to the mind, body, and spirit.

Hello out ther to horse owners, I'd be pleased to meet ya

Posted on Feb 18th, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
Angel (a horse) has been doing that lipcurl nuzzle thing at me when I go out in the morn to grain them and ask for "kisses please". My horse Corra sees it and wants attention so she steps in then has gotten the nuzzle part down pretty good. They are so amazing in temperment and beauty, and I am fortunate to get to see 7 of them every day. I think they liked the valentines' gift of a sugar cube each. It has been a really tough time for horse owners I know, and I want to say thanks to all who continue to care for and keep the magnificent creatures in difficult times. To all those who cannot afford this, my best wishes go out to you as well because I know it is terrible to lose a horse. I would like to meet any others here that have (or just really love) horses. I as a horse lover have quite a few galleries assembled on my sites jilljj.com and cedar-hill-farm-minnesota.com

how to do it yourself sustainable energy: solar, wind, water, etc

Posted on Feb 12th, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
by now I have a bunch of options and how to directions for those seeking to build a more DIY sustainable life. I would really like to a gentler, kinder treatment towards the earth, ie: this earth rape to get gas must end even it it is the earth itself that stops us.  My frist tip would be grow your own food as much as and as naturally as possible. I save about 600 a year JUST by canning vegetables, I lose count of how much I save with a freezer full of even more than that.....Next find out how to grow and preserve build things (and this is where I offer you assistance and directions) like solar water heaters and panels and wind turbines, and know the other options: did you know 1 KW off of 10 solar panels can power all the lights and small applainces in your home for years? these are the directions I can send you, in case you wonder how to build these things.....then just do it....become more efficient and save more.......the cost of my directions low,  the cost of saving the environment priceless, the cost of not being sustainable when compared to savings with these directions very very high. email me at jilljjam@yahoo.com for more information. Let's get the party started.

God Bless Mr. Gunderson, but cars can run on water!

Posted on Jan 29th, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
I took it as an embarrassment, a letdown, and a dare when in my sixth grade science class, Mr. Gunderson told me my idea to have cars run on water would never work. He was wrong. I was right! I think it is great!  check it out at

I live where I live and I am growing where I was planted

Posted on Jan 4th, 2009 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
I am literally located in Rice, MN and do 90% of my work locally. and need to point this out because there is a listing on Gaia for Maid Essential which says it is located in Faribault. I'm in Rice, not in Faribault. I've contacted Gaia about this, but the listing went up anyway.
I literally grow where I was planted.

How a coma got me into the natural cleaning aromatherapy business

Posted on Dec 21st, 2008 by jilljj : just-being jilljj
I’d like to share the story of why I decided to start a business doing natural cleaning with essential oils. About 10 years ago, my Mom was on her way to Malaysia to do some volunteer work for her church. On the plane she fell into a coma and the plane had to land in Japan for her to be hospitalized. She had, without anyone’s knowledge, come down with spinal meningitis. Meningitis is an infection of the fluid of a person’s spinal cord and the fluid that surrounds the brain. People sometimes refer to it as spinal meningitis. Meningitis is usually caused by a viral or bacterial infection. Knowing whether meningitis is caused by a virus or bacterium is important because the severity of illness and the treatment differ. Viral meningitis is generally less severe and resolves without specific treatment, while bacterial meningitis can be quite severe and may result in brain damage, hearing loss, or learning disability. In her case, a very near fatal coma. We thought we had lost her, and in a country so far away from Mid-Minnesota. As fate would have it, Japan was to be the best place for her recovery. In Japan they employed the use of natural cleansers such as lemon juice and prescribed green tea and yogurt as important parts of her recovery diet. I personally believe she would not have made it had it not been for the Japanese methods. At the same time back here at home I went on a long search for things that would help her once she finally got home, and my prayers were answered when I was introduced to the properties of essential oils. Now the gist of essential oils is that they are highly concentrated versions of what Mother Nature does best. These oils are (dependent on the type of oil) containers of one or often more of the following: anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-spasmotic, antiseptic, and other healing properties which when inhaled or applied to skin get deep into the body to work their wonders. If you want to see how essential oils of plants in general are absorbed by the system just try this simple test: rub a clove of garlic on the bottom of your foot; a few hours later ask a friend you can trust how your breath smells. Essential oils are often used on the feet since the feet have the more direct routes to nerves and vessels to which one would want to get the healthy stuff. I want to say here I personally believe they work better than pharmaceuticals especially as a preventative medicine, but one should always do their own research and I do not claim to be able to get most people out of comas (There are of course specific do’s and don’t to skin application so I will be offering lessons soon on application of these oils, and you can sign up by emailing me). Overall use a balance of good eating, exercise, healthy thoughts, and doctors. Now why in house cleaning would I use these expensive oils you ask? Well my dears, for one they smell delightful! Two, I can’t stand choking on chemicals on the job. Thirdly, as I mentioned earlier, these oils are also absorbed to do their beneficial things by smelling them. Fourthly, I go forth adding oils to my natural cleaners to kill germs, fungus, and disinfect. How’s Mom? She’s a miracle and is fine.
